Ok- first off, Cindy Hyde Smiths dentures are either ill fitting or she got them too late. Now that I said that….

She can get fired up about protecting fetuses all day long, claiming to care about children, BUT by not supporting sensible protections from the scourge of gun violence,( which goes hand in hand with domestic violence)by not rebuking all racism,by seeking to limit health care to citizens,by blindly supporting deadly wars, by choking out tax dollars for social spending, by rejecting asylum to persecuted immigrants,restricting access to voting, supporting giving corporations massive tax breaks with no stipulations and free passes to pollute,supporting limited science education, rejecting comprehensive sex education to prevent teen pregnancy, and to deny people their God given free will to make personal choices that are between them and their own faith instead of forcing her beliefs on them, well, this proves she is not a very good representative for American democracy and values, and she is certainly NOT “ pro life”,now is she?? Trick question. Shes not. Noone with those preferences are. Not a one.

Hyde-Smith is but one example of a culture that is ripe with fetid decomposition, and a political party that has become unscrupulous and desperate. I certainly know that this malevolence and devolution does not live within the hearts of all Southerners,nor all White people, and that systemic racism, colonization,and oppression exists in all hierarchal models in all 50 states.

We MUST come to grips with the fact that this poison dripped into the foundation of this nation at its inception. It is not our fault today what our ancestors did in the past,but sometimes, as hard as it may be for some, there comes a time when we have to acknowledge the wrong doings,understand how they shaped the current structure of society,and the best honor we can pay to our ancestors,our children,and those affected by injustice is to right those wrongs and move forward- a truth and reconciliation. Our history textbooks are half truths and we celebrate things that many are not aware hide dark and sad secrets. The South has had a much harder time with pridefulness, accepting the loss of the Confederacy, relinquishing a charged symbolism and vanquishing the bigotry that it represents. Not all modern culture is positive, but more is than isn’t,we are a deeply flawed species. Embracing the concept of e pluribus unum and the virtues of modern America would provide the South with a new prosperity and vision. I truly hope the youth will rise above history, if not those casting votes today.

This should concern,possibly terrify Americans who value true democracy and liberal values.

We are a large nation here in the US, so things may happen more slowly but this is far too familiar. Our courts are where we are vulnerable and we have an entire political party stacking and packing courts with the far right.

I implore everyone to review history and stay apprised of Europe.

IF LIFE AND PLANET SAVING PROPOSALS ARE ALLEGEDLY GOING TO PUT AN UNFAIR FINANCIAL BURDEN ON THE COMPANIES,AND THEN THEREFORE THE WORKERS AND CUSTOMERS, IT SURE DOES NOT SEEM LIKE IT WHEN THEY CAN PISS AWAY MILLIONS JUST TO DEFEAT BALLOT INITIATIVES. PERHAPS THEY SHOULD BE DIVERTING MORE PROFITS TO TRANSITIONING TO CLEAN ENERGY OR SAVING THE CAMPAIGN SPENDING TO OFFSET POTENTIAL COSTS TO THE AVERAGE PEOPLE THEY SERVE.(YES I AM YELLING!)

I understand the need for profit, and in most cases the need for growth. However,there are few aspects of our for profit society that has crossed a line.

When a handful of people control something that society has become so dependent on to do all of the rest of the things that keep society going, and do not have many viable options, and when those products are also responsible for massive destruction to vital life resource and are even the cause of wars.

1.We are dealing with companies that continue to harvest and feed an addiction on dirty energy when using current technology,human ingenuity,and determination.

2. These companies are so rich,it is cheaper for them to treat life of all forms as externalities far away from their consciences, to throw money at victims rather than remedy a problem- and they clearly sleep at night.

3. Apparently, despite some feats of incredible strength in numbers and occasional luck in a few circuit court cases,there are no groups of people strong enough to hold these petro billionaires accountable for their greed and irresponsible practices.

4. Because so many personal and pressing issues suck oxygen from campaigns, and because some voters on the right have bought the phony religious rebuke of climate science from politicians who claim to have their interests in mind-people are not electing the proper government officials in local,state,and Federal elections.

5. If we as voters understand what we are facing and elect people with proper understanding of the problem,place constituent pressures upon them to hold them accountable to US,those

we give the power to can properly utilize the regulatory bodies THAT EXIST to protect citizens,consumers,and ecosystems from irresponsible and sociopathic industries, and hold THEM accountable. We cannot have anykind of capitalism at all if we have no planet, so lets restrain what is clearly runaway capitalism.
